4th of July is right around the corner, and that means family, friends, food , fun, and fireworks!!<\/p>\n
Why not go out on top with a bang serving this Lemon Berry Trifle? It\u2019s light and refreshing, and it\u2019s perfectly patriotic with its red and blue berries and white angel food cake! Preparation is simple and since it needs to chill for 8 hours, it\u2019s something you can do the night before! Enjoy!<\/p>\n
Lemon Berry Trifle\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n 1 \u2013 8oz. prepared angel food cake<\/p>\n 1 \u2013 10oz. jar lemon curd<\/p>\n 1 \u2013 6oz. carton\u00a0 lemon nonfat yogurt<\/p>\n 1 \u2013 8oz. container lite whipped topping, thawed and divided<\/p>\n 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries<\/p>\n 1 cup fresh blueberries<\/p>\n 1 cup fresh raspberries<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Cut cake into bite-size pieces and set aside.<\/p>\n Combine lemon yogurt, lemon curd and 2 cups whipped topping; blend well and set aside.<\/p>\n Now begin to layer!<\/p>\n Put 1\/3 of the cake cubes in bottom of a trifle dish; top with 1\/3 of the lemon mixture.<\/p>\n Top with sliced strawberries.\u00a0 Now, layer with 1\/3 cake, 1\/3 lemon mixture and blueberries.<\/p>\n Then, layer last third of cake, lemon mixture and top with raspberries!<\/p>\n Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours.\u00a0 Top each serving with remaining whipped topping and enjoy!<\/p>\n 8 -10 servings<\/p>\n Note:\u00a0 There\u2019s no wrong way to layer this trifle.\u00a0 Sometimes I mix up the berries between layers.\u00a0 I even use pound cake loaf in place of angel food sometimes.\u00a0\u00a0 Anything goes!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" 4th of July is right around the corner, and that means family, friends, food , fun, and fireworks!!
